Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and conduct system research to identify solution components and resolve problems.
- Develop, maintain, and support web applications using established technology architecture and coding standards.
- Perform unit, component, and integration testing and participate in peer code reviews and defect resolution.
- Provide application and environment administration, including monitoring, configuration, backup, authentication, performance tuning, and SLA tracking.
- Support production incidents by analyzing reports and outages, assessing impact, and coordinating communications through resolution.
- Contribute to project scope, risk, cost, estimates, timelines, status updates, and delivery planning.
- Act as a senior or lead developer and subject matter expert while coaching and guiding team members and consulting with partner teams.
- Identify development and testing tools, process improvements, and operational efficiency opportunities.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or technical certificate.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of technology, programming languages, processes, and procedures, with extensive knowledge of business and enterprise technology areas.
- Expertise in web application design and development using Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Angular, Node.js, Tomcat, JBoss, REST, SOAP, JAX-WS, JAXB2, JAX-RS, and Web API.
- Experience with relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery tooling such as Maven, Nexus, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Git, Stash, and Bitbucket.
- Experience with Scrum or a related Agile delivery approach and tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, independent working ability, subject matter expertise, and experience coaching or consulting with partner teams.
- Cloud experience with Azure or AWS and experience integrating vendor products are considered assets.
