Responsibilities
- Build scalable and performant software using software engineering best practices.
- Analyze requirements from traders and analysts for algorithmic trading.
- Facilitate discussions about code implementation, testing, and software architecture best practices.
- Drive projects and lead new initiatives.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve challenging design and coding issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3 to 7 years of experience building software systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Knowledge and experience with at least one of JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, or Python.
- Experience with more than one of the listed programming technologies is an asset.
- Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, WebSocket, AMQP, TCP, or HTTP is an asset.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication, independence, teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
