Responsibilities
- Resolve complex problems spanning multiple applications and lead projects involving significant business impact.
- Lead development of integrated business and enterprise applications that meet resilience, scalability, maintainability, and architectural standards.
- Drive operational excellence through disaster recovery, capacity planning, performance testing, regression testing, chaos testing, observability, alerts, dashboards, and recovery runbooks.
- Promote engineering standards and best practices involving code quality, test coverage, authentication and authorization principles, and development processes.
- Mentor and advise engineers on enterprise technologies, tools, methodologies, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Explore and recommend enterprise software components and technologies while simplifying solutions, optimizing processes, removing bottlenecks, and resolving escalated issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education where applicable.
- At least 7 years of experience in software development or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience across frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, or DevOps.
- At least 6 years of experience implementing solutions through iterative development lifecycles.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field.
- Preferred: 6 years of experience with technical documentation, business systems, and source code control systems.
- Preferred: 6 years of experience with an IT Infrastructure Library framework, defect or incident tracking software, web services, and application and integration middleware.
- Preferred: 6 years of experience in systems analysis, technical requirements definition, and high-level design for complex solutions.
- Preferred: 6 years of experience across at least three areas including continuous integration and continuous deployment tools, backend technologies, middleware, database technologies, and DevOps.
- Preferred: 4 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports.
