Responsibilities
- Prototype, implement, ship, and support backend product features.
- Work within a small, independently operating backend functional team.
- Help deliver features that digitize insurance risks and transform the insurance industry.
- Collaborate with a technical lead and product owner to deliver the right features.
Requirements
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Experience with Python and the listed Python ecosystem, including msgspec, httpx, Pydantic, FastAPI, structlog, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Jinja2, pytest, Ruff, and mypy.
- Experience with mypy or other static type checkers.
- Experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI specification.
- Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Docker and docker-compose.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, and Amazon SES.
- Experience with Redis, Google Cloud Vertex AI, Gemini, Google BigQuery, OCR engines, prompt engineering, Kubernetes, CircleCI, Datadog, Auth0, JSON Schema, Pusher, LocalStack, or Terraform is beneficial.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Permanent right to work in the UK or Ireland without requiring visa sponsorship.
