Responsibilities
- Lead and execute challenging, complex software projects in the Cloud Storage organization.
- Design and implement distributed, full-stack systems and scale them to production.
- Architect fault-tolerant, highly scalable cloud-native services across major hyperscalers.
- Decompose complex problems into simple solutions and make technical trade-offs involving performance, maintainability, cost, and time-to-market.
- Contribute to implementation, detailed design, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate across engineering, product, leadership, customers, stakeholders, and the engineering community.
- Build customer-facing products, APIs, or SDKs used externally at scale.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with fault-tolerant, highly scalable cloud architectures, including service-oriented and cloud-native services on at least one hyperscaler.
- Strong experience in one or more of Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Rust.
- Experience designing and building end-to-end distributed systems.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
- Prior experience as a technical lead in a high-performance engineering organization.
- BTech/BE in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Front-end experience with TypeScript, React, or Angular is a plus.
- Experience with data analytics, data migration systems, storage platforms, filesystems, or file/cloud storage protocols is preferred.
- Experience with NFS, SMB, or iSCSI protocols is preferred.
- Strong technical judgment, communication, and ability to work effectively across teams.
