Responsibilities
- Lead and execute challenging, complex projects within the Cloud Storage organization.
- Architect, decompose, implement, and scale distributed full-stack systems for production.
- Design fault-tolerant, highly scalable cloud-native and service-oriented applications across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Provide detailed designs and contribute to implementation, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Make technical decisions balancing performance, maintainability, cost, and time-to-market.
- Apply engineering best practices and testing methods while collaborating with engineering, product, leadership, customers, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with fault-tolerant, highly scalable cloud architectures, including FaaS, PaaS, service-oriented, and cloud-native services on at least one hyperscaler.
- Strong experience with one or more of Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Rust.
- Experience building customer-facing products, APIs, or SDKs used externally at scale.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Prior experience as a technical lead in a high-performance engineering organization.
- Strong technical judgment, decision-making under ambiguity, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience designing data analytics, data migration systems, storage platforms, filesystems, or file/cloud storage protocols including NFS, SMB, or iSCSI.
- Front-end experience with TypeScript, React, or Angular is preferred.
- BTech/BE in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
