Base Salary
$179k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop trajectory optimization, constraint-aware planning, path smoothing, and local-planning algorithms for low-speed autonomy and parking features.
- Refactor and scale planning-stack architecture while optimizing CPU usage and exploring parallel or GPU acceleration.
- Investigate real-world planning issues, including curvature discontinuities, velocity or trajectory mismatches, and edge-case steering behavior.
- Validate algorithms using simulation, vehicle logs, multi-scenario testing, and benchmarking.
- Prototype and evaluate learned models, barrier functions, ML-based planning, and other approaches for production viability.
- Deliver ADAS/AD features through requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, testing, SIL/HIL validation, feature tuning, and in-vehicle deployment.
- Lead technical discussions, document algorithm insights, support knowledge transfer, and track work in Jira.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Control, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8+ years of software development experience in autonomous driving, ADAS, or robotics, focused on large-scale data and real-time systems.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills and understanding of software engineering design principles and best practices.
- Proven experience delivering ADAS/AD features through the full production lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience integrating software on embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Xavier/Orin or Infineon Aurix.
- Experience building reliable production-grade systems, large-scale architectures, evaluation pipelines, and performance-optimized models.
- Leadership experience.
- Preferred qualifications include ML-based planning, GPU or parallel computing for planning, and production deployment in real vehicles.
