Senior Software Engineer, Unified Platform - Trade Management, Trade and Order Processing, Platform Services

Responsibilities
- Build systems with a focus on testing, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Design, model, and program in a variety of languages and technologies.
- Work on both legacy code and greenfield development.
- Drive projects to completion with initiative.
- Learn and promote new technologies and best practices.
- Provide on-call support as needed.
- Collaborate with other developers, including pairing on tasks.
Requirements
- Multiple years of server-side development experience.
- Solid understanding of microservice architectures and the CAP theorem.
- Understanding of functional programming paradigms and type theory.
- Confident JVM knowledge.
- Knowledge of Java, Python, and Clojure.
- Experience with Airflow or other Python-based workflow orchestration tools.
- Proficiency in domain-driven design and domain modeling.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Git.
- Working knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to use AI coding assistants while owning development outcomes.
- Exposure to agentic frameworks or MCP server development is desirable.
- Knowledge of financial concepts, exchange trading, or physical energy trading is desirable.
