Responsibilities
- Guide team members in design, peer consensus, and adoption of site reliability engineering practices.
- Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional teams on deployment and reliability approaches using automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms.
- Use service level indicators and objectives, monitoring, and observability practices to proactively resolve complex problems and improve reliability.
- Configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and associated infrastructure for availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation while validating outputs through review and testing.
- Identify roadblocks, propose improvements, and explore appropriate new technologies.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
- Proficiency in site reliability culture and principles and the ability to implement SRE practices within an application or platform.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET.
- Experience with white-box and black-box monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection.
- Proficient knowledge of software applications and technical processes in a discipline such as cloud, AI, or mobile platforms.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate and validate generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
- Preferred: experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling, container technologies and orchestration platforms, and troubleshooting networking technologies and issues.
