Base Salary
$286k - $359k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize a technical vision for the assigned domain.
- Decompose complex problems into practical, operational solutions and ensure technical design and implementation quality.
- Provide authoritative expertise on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional system characteristics.
- Modernize monolithic systems into distributed, event-driven architectures.
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture leaders on long-term platform strategy and API standards.
- Lead cross-divisional projects and architectural initiatives that advance technical best practices.
- Provide hands-on technical contribution while mentoring engineers and strengthening engineering and product expertise.
- Create technical communications, code samples, blog posts, and knowledge-sharing materials.
- Recruit, mentor, and support the development of engineering talent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 9 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred experience includes 12 or more years with software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred experience includes 12 or more years coding in Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred experience includes 10 or more years with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred experience includes 12 or more years across the full system development lifecycle and 7 or more years with public cloud, cloud productivity, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 12 or more years with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integration.
- Preferred experience includes 7 or more years mentoring senior engineers and 3 or more years leading cross-domain architectural reviews or establishing coding and design standards.
- Expertise in strategically applying agentic AI coding tools is preferred.
