Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of ML compilers for high-performance deep learning applications targeting AGI hardware platforms.
- Design and evolve staged lowering infrastructure for changing workloads and novel hardware features.
- Develop optimization algorithms for data locality, memory scheduling, kernel fusion, and code generation to improve performance and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with hardware teams on instructions, memory architectures, and computing abstractions.
- Align hardware, runtime, ML framework, and research teams on ML compiler features and improvements.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and establish technical standards.
- Troubleshoot complex compiler and performance issues and guide root-cause analysis.
- Develop compiler documentation, user guides, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years, master's degree with 8+ years, or PhD with 5+ years of industry experience.
- Strong background in compiler design and optimization techniques.
- Experience developing and optimizing software for high-performance computing systems.
- Experience with LLVM and MLIR is preferred.
- Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Familiarity with CPU, GPU, TPU, and NPU hardware architectures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and independent-work skills.
- Ability to work inclusively across diverse global teams and adapt to changing challenges.
