Responsibilities
- Define specifications, design, implement, and evaluate in-vehicle applications and features based on customer requirements and vehicle-system constraints.
- Collaborate with customers to align specifications, functional responsibilities, and application ownership boundaries.
- Use the Arene toolchain to implement, integrate, and verify customer-facing applications and features.
- Evaluate the Arene platform and related tools and provide feedback for continuous platform improvement.
- Work with customers, partners, and Arene product development teams to drive technical problem solving and project delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in in-vehicle or embedded software development using C/C++.
- Experience developing software on Linux platforms.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
- Ability to collaborate with customers and internal and external stakeholders and proactively drive development activities.
- Ownership of quality and performance, with initiative to work beyond the primary area of expertise.
- Working-level English proficiency for technical communication.
- Business-level Japanese proficiency, spoken and written.
- Preferred: embedded or automotive software architecture experience focused on maintainability, performance, and reliability.
- Preferred: knowledge or experience with QNX or Android Automotive OS.
- Preferred: understanding of AUTOSAR, MISRA, CERT, and ISO 26262.
- Preferred: experience designing or abstracting vehicle software architectures across multiple domains or generations.
- Preferred: experience with Docker, GitHub Actions, Japanese automotive OEMs, or automotive companies.
