Base Salary
$172k - $229k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain the full-stack platform using scalable frontend applications and high-performance backend services.
- Lead technical decisions and initiatives across frontend and backend development and multiple teams.
- Design, develop, and optimize APIs for frontend applications and third-party integrations.
- Improve database design, indexing, query performance, caching, and data retrieval.
- Enhance the design system and UI components using Material-UI.
- Own observability through logging, monitoring, and performance analysis across frontend and backend services.
- Define and enforce frontend and backend testing strategies using Jest and React Testing Library.
- Work with QA engineering to deliver high-precision, well-tested software.
- Mentor and coach engineers through design reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Communicate with engineers, product managers, customers, partners, and company leaders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience focused on full-stack development with modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Deep expertise in React.js and scalable frontend architecture with state management.
- Strong Node.js backend development experience with GraphQL APIs, Apollo, Relay, and RESTful services.
- Proficiency with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
- Experience optimizing frontend and backend performance, including database indexing, caching, and frontend rendering.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, and real-time data processing.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Python knowledge or the ability to learn Python for backend development is preferred.
- Experience working in CI/CD environments and automated deployments.
- Track record of mentoring and coaching engineers.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
