[TECH] Senior GenAI Engineer [INTELIGENT PLATFORMS]
HelloFreshResponsibilities
- Partner with engineering and business teams to understand workflows and identify opportunities for AI-driven value.
- Embed with teams to prototype, test, and iterate on AI-powered solutions based on user feedback.
- Design, build, deploy, and operate production-grade AI applications, agents, workflow automations, retrieval systems, and internal tools.
- Build role-specific AI assistants for distribution through the internal plugin marketplace.
- Own the full AI solution lifecycle from discovery and experimentation through deployment and continuous improvement.
- Ensure solutions are reliable, observable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Collaborate with platform engineers on shared AI infrastructure.
- Share reusable patterns and mentor teammates through collaboration, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping production AI applications using modern LLMs, including agents, RAG, workflow automation, structured generation, and LLM evaluation.
- Strong software engineering skills and experience designing and operating production systems.
- Experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into practical software solutions.
- A product mindset focused on measurable user and business impact.
- Ability to prototype rapidly while recognizing when to invest in scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience with managed AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Vertex AI.
- Strong programming skills in Python or another modern programming language.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with internal developer tools or productivity platforms, AI-system evaluation, agent frameworks, MCP, tool calling, workflow orchestration, enterprise AI deployment, or measuring AI-product adoption and business impact is preferred.
