Responsibilities
- Integrate Helsing software and AI capabilities into complex systems and challenging environments.
- Collaborate with customer avionics engineers to understand aircraft mission-control data structures and APIs.
- Build adapters connecting unfamiliar databases, APIs, and network protocols to Helsing’s cloud infrastructure.
- Define and execute end-to-end delivery outcomes while continuously evolving, improving, and operating software.
- Discover and formalise customer requirements, identify bugs, and ship features directly to users.
- Coordinate customers, partners, and Helsing engineers during technology demonstrations in simulations or real systems.
Requirements
- A degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or another relevant field.
- Broad understanding and creative use of computer systems, including the ability to work with unfamiliar and legacy systems.
- Comfort with Bash or Python and software engineering experience in C++, Java, Rust, or similar languages.
- Ability to navigate and configure Linux systems and understanding of network stacks and database systems.
- Business-level or fluent German is required for applications in Germany.
- Nice-to-have experience with Rust and Python, container-based, cloud-native, and edge application architectures.
- Nice-to-have experience operating production systems with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar tools.
- Nice-to-have experience with SQL, NoSQL, streaming database systems, and production ML systems.
- Professional defence-sector experience is advantageous.
