Base Salary
$215k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop operational tooling in Python, Ruby, or a similar language for API integrations, data processing, and system orchestration.
- Design and implement highly available, self-healing, scalable, and performant infrastructure systems.
- Create metrics, monitoring, visualizations, and alerting systems across the infrastructure.
- Implement systems using security-first principles.
- Use AI tools extensively for development and support.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience working as a Linux Systems Administrator or Engineer.
- In-depth understanding of Linux filesystems, process scheduling, virtual memory management, and other Linux fundamentals.
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking and addressing.
- Significant experience developing operational tooling in Python, Ruby, or a similar language.
- Significant experience with configuration management platforms such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Experience with metrics, monitoring, and visualization tools such as Prometheus, Influx, and Grafana.
- Preferred: experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions, containers and container orchestration, distributed storage such as Ceph, Lustre, or GPFS, and RDBMS technologies such as Postgres or MySQL.
