Base Salary
$78k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business units and team members to understand and document requirements.
- Design and develop integration solutions with third-party data providers and systems.
- Modernize existing applications and build new applications supporting portfolio construction, backtesting, transition analysis, and other analytical tools.
- Create unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Conduct code reviews and merge-request reviews.
- Follow development processes and guidelines and recommend technology improvements.
- Advocate for secure coding practices and implement security-related features as the development team’s security expert.
- Research and implement cross-functional software development initiatives that may later be transitioned to other groups.
- Share knowledge and ideas to improve team processes and productivity.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing cloud-native applications.
- Experience with Python design and development is a plus.
- Experience with object-oriented languages such as C# or Java.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services including ECS, S3, Batch, and EC2.
- In-depth experience with message streaming technologies such as Kafka.
- Solid understanding of Docker containerization.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-a-service and working knowledge of Terraform.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and build tools.
- Ability to become a subject matter expert in areas related to current assignments.
- Effective communication skills with business users and other developers.
- Familiarity with AI and related technologies and the ability to apply them in a business or technical context.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly social and collaborative environment.
