Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for embedded target hardware according to requirements and system-level design documents.
- Develop C++ software for embedded real-time operating systems.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, test, and other engineering teams on interfaces and system performance.
- Support requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal testing across the software development lifecycle.
- Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions independently or with multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools and test equipment for experiments, prototyping, operating-data collection, and evaluation.
- Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, and repair defects.
- Interface with test engineers to influence test automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 6 years of prior engineering experience, a graduate degree with 4 years of prior related experience, or 10 years of prior engineering-related experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in computer or software engineering.
- At least 5 years of professional C++ development experience.
- Active US Secret Clearance.
- Preferred: experience developing and testing real-time embedded software.
- Preferred: familiarity with Green Hills RTOS.
- Preferred: experience developing device drivers and board support packages for real-time embedded systems.
- Preferred: experience with modern C++ techniques.
- Preferred: working knowledge of Linux.
