Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build backend systems that ingest and process documents from customer systems and inboxes.
- Develop AI agents that complete compliance and food safety documents.
- Own features end to end across backend services, user interfaces, infrastructure, and AI agents.
- Ship quickly, incorporate user feedback, and adapt the product to customer needs.
- Take products or major features from concept through production.
Requirements
- Meaningful engineering experience beyond intern-level work, demonstrated through product ownership, scope, and impact.
- Early-stage startup or founding engineering experience.
- Strong full-stack skills covering backend development, frontend implementation, and relational data modeling with Postgres or an equivalent database.
- Experience shipping software used by real people and explaining engineering tradeoffs and lessons learned.
- Experience with Kotlin is not required if the candidate can learn it.
- Experience with AI or LLM products, agents, retrieval, search, automation, document processing, or manufacturing and supply chain is valuable or preferred.
Benefits
- Base salary of $160,000 to $200,000 annually plus 0.5% to 2% equity.
- On-site role in San Francisco, California; candidates should be based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate.
