Responsibilities
- Own the technical design of Power Platform applications, including solution architecture, Dataverse models, security, integrations, and front-end design.
- Lead the design and development of Power Pages sites, including templates, Liquid, forms, lists, permissions, authentication, and external-user access.
- Build responsive Power Pages experiences with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, custom components, validation, dynamic behavior, and the Dataverse Web API.
- Design and build model-driven and canvas Power Apps with forms, views, business rules, client scripting, and performance considerations.
- Design Dataverse solutions covering tables, relationships, calculated and rollup fields, business rules, and role-, team-, business-unit-, row-, and column-level security.
- Develop C#/.NET plug-ins, custom APIs, custom workflow activities, and REST integrations with external systems.
- Build custom Power Apps Component Framework controls using TypeScript and React.
- Lead developers through task breakdown, technical guidance, code reviews, issue resolution, and quality standards.
- Own ALM and release practices, including solution management, environment strategy, source control, deployment pipelines, and data migration.
- Set engineering standards for maintainability, performance, accessibility, security, and reusable components.
- Translate functional requirements into technical designs, support estimation and sprint planning, and identify technical risks.
- Engage client technical stakeholders in design walkthroughs, technical discussions, and issue resolution.
- Mentor developers and contribute reusable components, templates, and accelerators to the practice.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of overall application development experience with substantial recent Microsoft Power Platform delivery.
- Strong hands-on experience delivering Power Apps, including model-driven and/or canvas apps, to production.
- Deep Power Pages or Power Apps Portals experience covering templates, Liquid, forms, lists, permissions, web roles, authentication, and external-facing sites.
- Strong HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, responsive design, and Bootstrap skills for building custom user interfaces.
- Deep Dataverse expertise in data modeling, relationships, business rules, and security models.
- Experience with the Dataverse Web API and REST integration patterns, including authentication and error handling.
- C#/.NET server-side development experience with plug-ins, custom APIs, and custom workflow activities.
- Experience with Power Apps Component Framework and TypeScript for custom control development.
- Solid ALM experience with solution management, environment strategy, Git, and automated or repeatable deployments.
- Proven technical leadership experience owning design decisions, conducting code reviews, guiding developers, and being accountable for technical quality.
- Ability to work directly with clients and functional teams, explain trade-offs, and challenge requirements constructively.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across browsers, portal runtimes, Dataverse, and integrations.
- Preferred certifications include PL-400, PL-600, or PL-200.
- Preferred experience includes React, Angular, Vue, build tooling, high-traffic portals, SEO, CDN, caching, Azure services, Dynamics 365, WCAG accessibility, automated testing, global SI delivery, and reusable practice accelerators.
