Base Salary
$117k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable, resilient, secure distributed systems and cloud-native solutions.
- Design APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems in Microsoft Azure.
- Lead delivery of complex initiatives spanning multiple services and engineering teams.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted software development tools and integrate AI capabilities into engineering workflows.
- Conduct architecture reviews, define design standards, and mitigate technical risks and scalability constraints.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting using Azure Application Insights and Log Analytics.
- Lead performance optimization, capacity planning, cost-efficiency improvements, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, product, and engineering leadership teams.
- Mentor engineers on technical design, development practices, and effective use of AI development tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong system design expertise.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering complex, distributed systems.
- Experience building and operating solutions in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
- Strong programming skills in one or more of C#, Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Preferred: experience rolling out AI-assisted development tools at scale.
- Preferred: Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Developer.
- Preferred: Infrastructure as Code experience with Pulumi or Terraform.
- Preferred: experience working in regulated environments such as healthcare or FinTech.
