Base Salary
$117k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and design complex, scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems in Microsoft Azure.
- Design APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems and lead delivery of initiatives spanning multiple services and teams.
- Implement high-quality, performant, and maintainable software solutions using cloud-native capabilities such as Azure App Services and Cosmos DB.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted software development tools while maintaining code quality and security.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical risk mitigation, performance optimization, capacity planning, and cost-efficiency improvements.
- Design observability, monitoring, and alerting capabilities using Azure Application Insights and Log Analytics.
- Participate in incident response and lead root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, QA, and product teams to define requirements and deliver projects.
- Mentor engineers in technical design, development practices, and effective use of AI development tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong system design expertise.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering complex distributed systems.
- Experience building and operating solutions in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
- Strong programming skills in one or more of C#, Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Preferred: experience rolling out AI-assisted development tools at scale within engineering organizations.
- Preferred: Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Developer.
- Preferred: Infrastructure as Code experience with Pulumi or Terraform.
- Preferred: experience working in regulated environments such as healthcare or FinTech.
