Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evolution of BI and analytics solutions for healthcare coding and clinical data products.
- Define BI architecture, data models, semantic models, analytics best practices, and architectural governance for Solventum HIS products and customer solutions.
- Design scalable enterprise applications, proof of concepts, technical evaluations, coding standards, and engineering best practices across teams.
- Build user-facing applications with embedded analytics and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on analytics development.
- Design complex data pipelines and ETL workflows, optimize application performance, and develop distributed systems for large-scale data and analytics workloads.
- Design cloud-native systems in AWS and/or Azure that support scalability, security, reliability, networking, and large-scale data processing.
- Advance analytics capabilities through agentic and generative AI solutions and mentor development teams on architecture, cloud design, and analytics integration.
- Travel up to 5% domestically or internationally as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 10 years of software engineering experience.
- Three to five or more years in a software architecture or technical leadership role, including architecture design, proof of concepts, technical evaluations, engineering standards, and architectural governance.
- Experience building user-facing applications with embedded analytics, including QuickSight, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Experience designing complex data pipelines and ETL workflows using AWS Glue, Lambda, Spark, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with application performance optimization, data modeling, distributed system design, and large-scale data and analytics workloads.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture in AWS and/or Azure, including networking, security, and managed services.
- Preferred experience with Python, Spark, EMR, Lakehouse and Fabric architecture, Apache Arrow, Parquet, Nifi, Airflow, Superset, and LangChain-based agentic analytics pipelines.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without employment visa sponsorship.
- Applicants should be highly motivated and self-starting.
