Base Salary
$157k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Establish architectural standards and design patterns for LLM workflows, agentic systems, multi-agent orchestration, RAG pipelines, vector databases, hybrid search, and reusable platform components.
- Define sandbox-to-production exit criteria, governance processes, enterprise agent registries, context-management architectures, and AI platform integration patterns.
- Lead technical evaluations of AI technologies, platforms, protocols, vendors, and emerging architectural patterns.
- Design observability, evaluation, validation, routing, semantic caching, model fallback, rate-limiting, token-throttling, cost-allocation, and FinOps reporting capabilities.
- Architect privacy, security, auditability, HIPAA, PHI, PII, and clinical data-sharing controls for AI systems.
- Serve as technical design authority for delivery pods and maintain reference architectures, technical standards, decision trees, and architecture documentation.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Security, Clinical, Data, Product, and pilot teams to enable governed AI delivery and platform adoption.
Requirements
- 12 or more years of experience in enterprise software architecture, platform architecture, AI/ML systems, data architecture, or enterprise platform delivery at enterprise scale.
- At least 2 years of dedicated hands-on experience delivering LLM orchestration and agentic systems in production, including multi-agent orchestration, context management, and tool connectivity.
- Experience designing AI/ML platform infrastructure, cloud AI platform integration, LLMOps/MLOps tooling, deployment pipelines, observability, and runtime monitoring.
- Experience with LLM evaluation, LLM-as-judge calibration, regression pipelines, prompt testing, and validation of probabilistic systems.
- Strong systems-thinking, architectural decision-making, technical communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working in regulated data environments with data governance, audit readiness, privacy boundaries, and compliance controls.
- Preferred: healthcare data experience involving HIPAA, PHI, and clinical data-sharing constraints.
- Preferred: experience with enterprise AI/ML platforms, agent registries, model provenance, AIBOM concepts, AI governance frameworks, reusable platform components, and developer-enablement tools.
