Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI, API, and backend test automation frameworks.
- Drive test strategy and architecture decisions for complex systems and build reusable testing utilities.
- Develop automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and related tools.
- Perform API automation testing with RestAssured, Postman, or similar tools.
- Implement performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter and Gatling.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Define and enforce quality standards, testing processes, and automation best practices.
- Conduct code reviews for test automation and mentor junior SDETs and QA engineers.
- Collaborate with developers, product teams, and DevOps on requirements, architecture, delivery pipelines, and quality validation.
- Champion shift-left testing, automation-first practices, and quality engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Expertise with test automation frameworks including Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, and Playwright.
- Experience with API automation testing, database testing, and microservices architecture testing.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with performance testing tools.
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of security testing basics.
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow is a plus.
- Experience in FinTech or SaaS and exposure to AI/ML-based applications are nice-to-have qualifications.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, initiative, ownership, and mentoring abilities.
