Responsibilities
- Define comprehensive functional and technical designs with business and technology stakeholders.
- Architect and deliver end-to-end distributed software solutions with the engineering team and senior leadership.
- Design, develop, and implement robust full-stack solutions utilizing Java.
- Lead and contribute to project initiatives within the stated development framework.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to establish test strategies for release cycles.
- Prepare system and training documentation.
- Provide technical programming support and subject matter expertise to team members.
- Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, automate routine processes, improve code quality, and support rapid prototyping and documentation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing object-oriented solutions with Java 8 or above.
- Advanced proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Kafka.
- Experience developing and integrating solutions in cloud environments such as AWS.
- Expertise with relational and distributed data stores, including Oracle 19c and Cassandra.
- Practical experience developing and deploying containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience developing full-stack solutions for Windows and Linux web-based platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, accountability, and software quality practices.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Anthropic Claude Code.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js is preferred.
- Exposure to OpenShift in production or staging environments is preferred.
