Responsibilities
- Build and maintain an ecosystem for engineers to develop and operate services in GCP and Kubernetes.
- Ensure high observability of services for quality customer service.
- Facilitate vertical and horizontal scaling of services based on load and telemetry data.
- Provide insights into service health using monitoring tools.
- Enforce security principles to meet ISO and SOC2 audit requirements.
- Contribute to tooling for debugging and performance testing.
- Automate deployment and instance setup processes.
- Participate in L3 support and incident resolution.
- Implement CI pipelines with security scans and code quality checks.
Requirements
- Experience as an SRE or DevOps Engineer with a focus on fostering a strong DevOps culture.
- Understanding of the 'you build - you run' principle and cost management in service operations.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code, particularly with Terraform and HELM.
- Ability to use telemetry data for feedback on application performance.
- Experience with Python and familiarity with Go or ETL pipelines is a plus.
- Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call support.
- Adaptability to a remote-first work environment.
