Responsibilities
- Build working proof-of-value solutions against prospect data and systems, including real integrations and production-like output.
- Partner with Account Executives and customer finance and IT teams on discovery, technical evaluations, architecture and security reviews, RFPs, and ROI narratives.
- Architect and deploy customer-specific configurations of AI Agents for complex accounting workflows.
- Review and edit Python, write SQL, and troubleshoot integrations, data flows, configuration issues, validations, and API-driven workflows.
- Serve as the technical escalation point, maintain response and resolution SLAs, and document and escalate issues to Engineering.
- Lead customer transformation engagements, implementations, training, workflow redesign, adoption, renewals, and expansions.
- Travel to customer sites as needed for technical evaluation, deployment, training, and adoption workshops.
- Surface customer feedback and integration requirements to Product and Core Engineering and create implementation guides, expansion frameworks, and reusable deployment assets.
Requirements
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, technical consulting, or comparable hands-on customer-embedded engineering roles.
- Deep experience with agentic AI workflows, including LangChain, LangGraph, MCP servers, multi-agent systems, RAG, vector stores, and hybrid retrieval.
- Experience with LLMs and tooling including OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, and prompt engineering.
- Deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations.
- Ability to collaborate as a technical peer with Product Managers and Engineers, manage multiple deployments, and lead customer troubleshooting calls.
- Ability to build proof-of-value solutions under sales-cycle pressure and operate them reliably in production.
- Ability to translate ambiguity into executable requirements and communicate with engineers, executives, customers, and internal IT teams.
- Strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management, and ability to work under delivery and revenue pressure.
- Preferred experience in high-growth SaaS, applied AI, fintech, ERP, accounting-adjacent domains, or one of the listed industry verticals.
- Preferred prior experience embedded at a customer site for a multi-month deployment; veterans, former management consultants, competitive programmers, and PhDs are also welcomed.

- Expected base pay is $202,500–$274,000 annually for Mountain View.
- Travel to customer sites may be required up to 30–40% of the time.
