Responsibilities

  • Lead development, testing, maintenance, and hardware enablement for Ambiq’s Zephyr offering.
  • Develop Zephyr samples, drivers, software test cases, and related software solutions.
  • Maintain Ambiq Zephyr repository processes, including CI/CD.
  • Track, debug, and resolve Zephyr issues in collaboration with internal engineering teams.
  • Optimize software to demonstrate Ambiq’s low-power advantages within the Zephyr ecosystem.
  • Create application notes and software guidelines.
  • Support applications engineers, field engineers, and key customers.
  • Represent Ambiq in the Zephyr technical steering committee and community.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in ECE or Computer Science with 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree in ECE or Computer Science with 8+ years of experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience with the Zephyr ecosystem and deep understanding of Zephyr RTOS.
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M processors and embedded MCU development in C and assembly language.
  • Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, and USB peripherals.
  • Experience with an MCU IDE such as ARM, Keil, IAR, Eclipse, or Ozone.
  • Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and similar lab equipment for debugging.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, collaboration tools, and Git.
  • Understanding of software testing and test automation principles.
  • Experience with scripting languages; Python experience is specifically desirable.
  • Experience with security, Bluetooth, Matter/Thread, or machine learning models in the Zephyr ecosystem is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, including complex hardware/software debugging.
