Responsibilities
- Contribute to the C++ runtime that powers LM Studio.
- Extend LLM engine integrations and build performance features for desktop OS.
- Implement IPC, resource management, and scheduling logic for concurrent execution.
- Improve build, packaging, and release infrastructure for native components.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver cohesive user experiences.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in production C++ systems software on macOS or Linux.
- Strong understanding of performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Experience designing ergonomic and maintainable internal and external APIs.
- Proficiency in C++11 (or newer) with a focus on RAII and modern libraries.
- Deep knowledge of concurrency, memory management, file systems, and network protocols.
- Experience with performance optimization using profilers and hardware counters.
