Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and responsive software using modern technologies.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Design and implement APIs and distributed services for real-time content applications.
- Create technical documentation, reusable patterns, and examples for engineering teams.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and Cursor for development, research, documentation, and bug triage while maintaining quality and security.
- Maintain and support legacy codebases.
- Help define and implement engineering standards across product teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in team meetings and manager one-on-ones.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to and triage issues.
- Represent Box Poland’s engineering excellence internally and externally.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs and distributed services, with a solid understanding of system design and data modeling.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying high-quality software in cloud environments.
- Expertise in HTML and CSS and experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as React.
- Understanding of state management, accessibility, performance, security basics, algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
- Ability to implement new technologies in existing products and demonstrate ownership in technical work and team interactions.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services is preferred.
- Experience with WebSockets, real-time applications, and cross-platform solutions is preferred.
