Base Salary
$120k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement high-quality UI across the Word add-in and web app using React and TypeScript.
- Improve AI-driven workflow interactions, including loading states, streaming output, retries, and error handling.
- Fix layout issues, state inconsistencies, spacing problems, and other UX friction.
- Apply and extend existing design patterns and component systems consistently.
- Collaborate with Product Design Engineers and Frontend Engineers to preserve design intent in implementation.
- Make AI behavior understandable, predictable, and trustworthy at the UI layer.
- Deliver UI fixes and improvements quickly without heavy product or design processes.
Requirements
- Strong frontend engineering skills with React and TypeScript.
- High standards for UI polish, interaction quality, and visual consistency.
- Comfort working with asynchronous systems, streaming data, and non-deterministic states.
- System-level understanding of latency, failures, and partial results.
- Ability to take direction clearly and execute with precision.
- Experience with complex, user-facing products where UX quality mattered.
- Preferred experience with AI-powered products, streaming or long-running workflows, plugins, extensions, add-ins, or Microsoft Word add-ins.
