Base Salary
$230k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement algorithms for optimal task allocation, scheduling, and temporal sequencing of heterogeneous autonomous vehicles.
- Improve C++ mission-planning software for multiple vehicle types and compute platforms.
- Develop mission decomposition, distributed action planning, and human-operator workload optimization capabilities.
- Support full software- and hardware-in-the-loop simulation of complex multi-agent missions.
- Architect core-system software, set engineering standards, refine technical requirements, and drive strategic technical improvements.
- Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and product managers on technical roadmaps for autonomy solutions and SDK offerings.
- Mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Typically requires a PhD with graduate work in Optimization or Operations Research, or a master’s degree with at least four years of work in those areas.
- Expertise in integer or mixed-integer linear programming, constraint programming, convex optimization, and multi-objective optimization.
- Experience using established optimization solvers such as Gurobi, Google-OR, or CPLEX.
- Significant experience implementing algorithms in C++ and debugging multithreaded execution with tools such as gdb.
- Optimization publications are preferred.
