Responsibilities
- Define robust architectural solutions with a focus on observability, availability, scalability, and API design.
- Propose and drive engineering initiatives to reduce technical debt.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers on design and implementation.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code on important projects.
- Drive releases, manage on-call rotation, and respond to production incidents.
- Assist in hiring and mentoring engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building scalable web platforms using JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
- Expertise in designing and implementing external-facing REST APIs.
- Solid understanding of core JavaScript concepts including scope, closures, and asynchronous callbacks.
- Strong experience with SQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and share knowledge effectively.
- Expertise in large-scale cloud-based distributed systems.
- Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS in scalable production environments.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and observability instrumentation.
- Familiarity with practical agentic AI patterns.
