Base Salary
$175k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases.
- Drive technical decisions across the stack, balancing scalability, reliability, security, and developer velocity.
- Lead the design and evolution of data pipelines supporting AI agents and research workflows.
- Contribute to and review frontend features and workflows for seamless integration.
- Establish and uphold best practices around testing, monitoring, observability, and incident response.
- Troubleshoot complex, cross-system issues and guide others in debugging.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and research teams to scope and ship new capabilities.
- Mentor and support other engineers to raise the technical bar.
Requirements
- Typically, 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep proficiency in backend languages such as Python or Node.js.
- Extensive experience designing, building, and evolving APIs.
- Strong knowledge of modern frontend frameworks like React or Next.js.
- Expertise with relational and/or document databases.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and containerized environments.
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies.
- Strong communication skills and experience in fast-moving environments.
