Responsibilities
- Build highly available, secure, distributed systems in a microservice architecture.
- Develop infrastructure solutions to improve development experience across the company.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain systems representing logistics entities.
- Collaborate with engineers to solve complex business and technical problems.
- Work with business partners to distill complex problems into technical solutions.
- Rapidly build and launch products, shipping to production multiple times a day.
- Maintain high-quality standards by monitoring metrics and applying learnings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience writing software with a strong engineering background.
- 2+ years of design and architecture knowledge with familiarity in OOA/OOD.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language such as TypeScript, Ruby, C, C++, Java, or Kotlin.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- A love for simple, well-tested code that is easy to extend.
- Ability to convey technical ideas in common terms to various stakeholders.
- Experience building large scale, high-performance systems in a distributed environment.
- Understanding of performance tradeoffs and operational issues.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like CDKTF, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Basic knowledge of AWS services and CI/CD pipelines.
