Responsibilities
- Develop and take end-to-end responsibility for backend microservices and APIs across the software development lifecycle.
- Build backend services using Java and/or Kotlin and contribute to sustainable, scalable software architecture.
- Establish development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices within and across teams.
- Ensure software quality through consistent automated testing.
- Use CI/CD pipelines and GitOps processes and collaborate closely with the DevOps team.
- Apply security and compliance practices in code using a shift-left approach.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Completed technical education through HTL, a university of applied sciences, or a university, with a focus on software development, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin, Spring Boot, SQL, and REST API design.
- Experience developing productive backend systems.
- Good understanding of modern microservice architectures and sustainable software design principles such as Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, and design patterns.
- Experience with automated testing strategies and frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps processes and their role in the software development lifecycle.
- Basic understanding of container and Kubernetes environments.
- Very good German and good English skills.
- Team-oriented approach, strong quality focus, and willingness to participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge transfer.
