Responsibilities
- Develop new solutions, features, enhancements, and source-code changes for engineering programs and projects.
- Build, maintain, test, document, and support applications and system components in accordance with technology architecture and quality standards.
- Perform unit and component testing, peer code reviews, design and prototype reviews, and post-production maintenance.
- Analyze technical requirements and recommend practical engineering solutions that meet performance, delivery, innovation, and business goals.
- Work with internal technology partners and stakeholders on configuration, custom components, application requirements, and lifecycle management.
- Provide technical expertise during incident management, including outage analysis, impact assessment, communication, problem determination, and resolution.
- Identify and recommend development and testing tools and help maintain processes for issue prevention and quality improvement.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate in computer science or software engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience with UI, Java, RESTful APIs, Spring, Spring Boot, and Angular.
- At least 5 years of experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL and/or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cosmos DB.
- At least 5 years of experience with Git-based source control tools such as GitHub and Bitbucket.
- At least 5 years of experience with Agile development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, take initiative, learn new technologies, communicate effectively with clients and teams, and deliver on schedule.
- Credit decisioning experience and team-leading experience are strong assets.
