Responsibilities
- Develop new solutions and application features for engineering programs and projects.
- Perform unit and component testing, code maintenance, peer code reviews, and quality management reviews.
- Implement small enhancements and break/fix source-code changes to support business activities.
- Analyze technical requirements and recommend pragmatic engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with technology partners and stakeholders to meet technical, performance, delivery, and innovation goals.
- Document and verify application, infrastructure, security, integration, operability, and architecture components.
- Monitor product lifecycles and undertake redevelopment where required.
- Provide technical expertise during incident management, including impact assessment, communications, and problem resolution.
- Identify and recommend development and testing tools and help maintain processes for issue prevention.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate in computer science or software engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience with UI, Java, RESTful APIs, Spring, Spring Boot, and Angular.
- At least 5 years of experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL and/or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cosmos DB.
- At least 5 years of experience with Git-based source control tools such as GitHub and Bitbucket.
- At least 5 years of experience with Agile development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, take initiative, communicate effectively with clients and teams, and learn new technologies.
- Credit decisioning experience and team-leading experience are strong assets.
