Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deliver, and continuously improve business applications across the full software development lifecycle.
- Build and enhance solutions using Java, Python, Node.js, SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL and Transact-SQL for data-intensive applications and business processes.
- Translate Finance and Treasury stakeholder requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Collaborate with architecture, platform, engineering, operations, and business teams to align solutions with enterprise standards.
- Modernize existing applications and contribute to the team’s target-state architecture.
- Develop, integrate, and support applications in a complex, controlled enterprise technology environment.
- Use GitHub and collaborative development practices to support software delivery.
- Support system controls and risk-management practices with Information Risk Management and technology teams.
- Create technical documentation for requirements, solution design, testing, implementation, and operational handover.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and improve application performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Approximately 3–5 years of professional software engineering or application development experience.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and/or Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and Transact-SQL development.
- Development experience with one or more of Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience with GitHub and modern source-control and collaborative development practices.
- Exposure to SQL Server and data or business-intelligence technologies such as Power BI or OLAP tools.
- Familiarity with Selenium and Postman is an asset.
- Interest in practical applications of AI within software engineering and business solutions.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and solve problems in a complex technology environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, treasury, or cash-management processes is nice to have.
- Experience with financial reporting applications, Power BI, automation, AI-enabled solutions, or modern cloud engineering practices is nice to have.
