Base Salary

$142k - $265k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the scalable backend platform supporting worldwide real-time services.
  • Build platform infrastructure and tooling for live drone operations.
  • Ensure the platform is secure, reliable, and performant.
  • Prototype new project ideas for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with hardware and autonomy teams on streaming and displaying live drone data in multiple formats.
  • Support low-latency telemetry, video distribution, remote control links, and system uptime.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality code and building robust infrastructure.
  • Experience building backend platforms from infrastructure through the API layer.
  • Experience with modern cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP and comfort working across software engineering and Cloud DevOps.
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture and the performance-cost tradeoffs of operating servers at scale.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud architectures focused on scale, performance, and security.
  • Preferred experience with real-time systems or embedded software development.
  • Preferred familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
