Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and troubleshoot secure, scalable, and resilient platform solutions.
- Set technical direction, architecture standards, and infrastructure practices across engineering teams.
- Lead cross-functional delivery of platform components, automation, and enterprise applications.
- Create architecture and design documentation aligned with enterprise, regulatory, and security requirements.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to produce insights, visualizations, and operational reporting.
- Identify systemic issues, risks, and patterns to improve coding hygiene, architecture, and application resiliency.
- Mentor and coach engineers while fostering technical excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Lead adoption and validation standards for AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Evaluate architectural designs and technical credentials from vendors, startups, and internal teams.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience in system architecture, application development, testing, and operational stability in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and/or Java, including development, debugging, and maintenance of complex codebases and database queries.
- Deep expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases, data lakes, and AWS S3 for scalable and secure data storage.
- Experience deploying and managing enterprise applications with AWS EMR, EKS/ECS, EC2, Event Bus, and S3.
- Advanced proficiency with Splunk, Elasticsearch, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Datadog for monitoring and logging.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker, and related automation tools.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security principles.
- Experience leading the use of AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and compliant engineering practices.
