Base Salary
$55k - $126k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development and optimization of Joomla web platforms.
- Create and customize Joomla components, modules, and plugins.
- Design, implement, and maintain server-side logic and production-grade AWS environments.
- Manage MySQL databases and integrate third-party APIs, including payment gateways and CRMs.
- Perform Linux server maintenance, patching, configuration management, and system hardening.
- Apply Joomla core updates and security patches, troubleshoot bugs, and maintain site health and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers and government leadership to translate mission and user requirements into digital solutions.
- Design and deliver large-scale, accessible, secure, and user-focused digital experiences on an agile team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with an object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with Linux server maintenance, patching, configuration management, or system hardening.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining production-grade AWS environments.
- Experience developing web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with SQL and a relational database management system such as MySQL.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Administration, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science plus 3+ years of systems administration experience, or 5+ years of systems administration experience in lieu of a degree.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
- Preferred qualifications include PHP experience, Joomla CMS website development experience, and experience collaborating on UX-focused solutions.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, UX, design, or a related field, and UX/UI, accessibility, or front-end development certifications.
