Responsibilities
- Own and manage critical and high-severity production incidents end-to-end.
- Lead SWARM and Tech Bridge calls during assigned shifts in a 24/7 rotational environment.
- Improve MTTR, MTTA, alert quality, operational stability, and reliability.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
- Monitor production systems and proactively detect issues.
- Automate operational tasks and lead initiatives that reduce toil and manual intervention.
- Maintain dashboards, alerts, runbooks, SOPs, and disaster recovery processes.
- Write and review reliability-critical operational automation using Go, Python, Shell, or Perl.
- Influence architecture decisions with operability and reliability considerations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, onboarding, training, and upskilling for ProdOps engineers.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Product, CloudOps, and Support teams, including customer-facing communications during incidents.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in Production Operations, SRE, or Cloud Reliability roles.
- Experience leading major production incidents in customer-facing systems.
- Strong background in distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving reliability initiatives.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform, CI/CD platforms, monitoring tools, observability platforms, and version-control systems.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, Shell, or Perl.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
