Base Salary
$310k - $324k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and solve technical challenges affecting business growth.
- Architect and implement scalable backend solutions, patterns, and frameworks for use across engineering teams.
- Identify system-wide solutions, guide teams, and ensure technical work meets business goals and standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Drive continuous improvement across the platform and engineering processes.
- Make key technical decisions and build critical payment services in a hands-on role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong backend development expertise with proficiency in Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, distributed systems, and system design principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate through code review, pair programming, mentoring, and cross-functional teamwork.
- Desirable experience with mobile technologies, mobile payment systems, fraud and identity in fintech, and large-scale systems serving millions of users.
