Base Salary

$168k - $240k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Scope, design, and deliver complex solutions spanning backend services, web, and mobile.
  • Drive architecture for onboarding, compliance, identity/KYC, and customer support workflows serving millions of users.
  • Set technical direction across the product unit and guide teams around design and architecture decisions.
  • Use and advance AI coding tools and the agentic development pipeline.
  • Own the DevOps lifecycle, including building, validation, monitoring, maintenance, operational review, security, and disaster recovery.
  • Plan and deliver complex multi-team projects, including projects with external dependencies.
  • Conduct code and design reviews focused on correctness, style, and information security.
  • Mentor engineers, provide technical coaching, and contribute to hiring, engineering culture, and team direction.
  • Resolve ambiguous, high-stakes problems and connect technical work to company objectives.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of software engineering experience building and operating complex production systems at scale.
  • Experience independently designing and delivering large, multi-system or multi-team projects from architecture through operation.
  • Ability to work across backend services, web, and/or mobile layers of the stack.
  • Proficiency in a typed language such as TypeScript, Scala, Java, or Go, plus comfort with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience building consumer-facing applications and understanding UX/UI concepts and product sensibility.
  • Fluency with AI coding tools and automation in daily development workflows.
  • Expertise in unit and integration testing, code health, and maintainability.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, including cross-team architectural influence, mentoring, prioritization, and consensus building.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills across teams and time zones.
  • Preferred experience in crypto or fintech, onboarding, identity/KYC, compliance, customer support tooling, AI agents or agentic workflows, React/React Native, cloud or microservices architecture, and data-informed product experimentation.
