Responsibilities
- Be on-call for a production system to assist customers during issues.
- Build innovative capabilities in a storage service.
- Design distributed systems interactions focusing on atomicity and idempotency.
- Deploy and generalize infrastructure across different cloud environments.
- Adapt to changing customer requirements amidst ambiguity.
- Lead engineering teams through complex decisions and provide PR feedback.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in building and operating distributed systems.
- Experience in a startup environment is preferred.
- Ability to resolve workplace disagreements with a customer-first mindset.
- Comfortable debugging issues across multiple systems using metrics and logs.
- Experience handling complex production issues, including being paged at odd hours.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, including consensus and scaling.
- Familiarity with system performance optimization and latency considerations.
- Deep understanding of computer operations from the silicon level.
