Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for customer and regulatory needs.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects on service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and enhance system performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical communities and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source framework experience, and front-end JavaScript or TypeScript framework experience.
- Preferred experience includes synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, and distributed-system performance optimization.
- Preferred experience includes AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering efforts, and establishing coding standards and design patterns.
