Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy infrastructure in AWS.
- Build custom software components and integrate open-source code for complex cloud and big-data problems.
- Design and implement software architecture and capabilities from prototype through operational applications.
- Define, build, and manage virtual cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Enhance, optimize, and improve the robustness of existing codebases.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and solve complex technical issues autonomously.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, software development tooling, and systems integration.
- Work toward strategic goals established by team architects.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required, and the employee must be able to obtain a position-appropriate U.S. Government security clearance; current Secret or TS clearance may be considered.
- Requires 5+ years of relevant experience with a related bachelor's degree, 3 years with a related master's degree, or 9 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, and storage layers such as Ceph, Rook, or Longhorn.
- Programming experience in Python or Go.
- Strong Linux systems knowledge, including hosts, networks, security, applications, and Shell/Bash scripting.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, oral communication, and written communication skills.
- Experience or familiarity with DISA’s Big Data Platform or other big-data systems is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab-CI, Travis-CI, or Jenkins is preferred.
- Experience with Puppet, Ansible, Maven, and virtualization platforms such as oVirt, Proxmox, or VMware is preferred.
- Familiarity with standard software development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, or GitLab is preferred.
- DoD 8140 or 8570 compliance certifications may be required based on customer direction.
- Must work in a hybrid environment, averaging one to two days per week at the Columbia, Maryland office.
