Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand customer requirements, gather feedback, and inform future designs and product roadmaps.
- Lead product and system design discussions, create code plans, make design decisions, and ensure architectures meet security and compliance standards.
- Develop, review, and maintain high-quality, reliable, diagnosable, and scalable code.
- Collaborate with Microsoft engineering teams and global partners to align project delivery and user experience goals.
- Deploy and operate services safely with appropriate monitoring, measures, and configuration practices.
- Mentor team members and promote AI-assisted and agentic approaches to software engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 7+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, particularly with C#, Java, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Experience with large, geo-distributed software engineering projects and decomposing work into team deliverables.
- Experience building, delivering, and operating reliable, highly available services at scale.
- Strong problem-solving, coding, and debugging skills.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, AI-related innovation, global stakeholder collaboration, and mentoring engineers.
