Responsibilities
- Define and evolve engineering standards for core data provisioning platforms in alignment with enterprise data strategy and architecture.
- Set technical direction for Enterprise Data Assets, including APIs for standardized data provisioning.
- Establish architecture and engineering approaches for Reference Data Services, golden-source alignment, and hierarchy management.
- Oversee big data ingestion, streaming, transformation, decisioning infrastructure, real-time feature stores, and orchestration patterns.
- Govern peer reviews and promote reusable, compliant, scalable, and observable engineering practices.
- Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code across engineering teams.
- Guide teams on data pipelines, APIs, metadata-driven controls, and automated testing frameworks.
- Represent the data technology domain in cross-platform technology councils and architecture forums.
Requirements
- Substantial hands-on experience in data platform engineering, architecture, or software development in a scaled enterprise environment.
- Experience building large-scale data pipelines, APIs, and event-driven systems using technologies such as Spring, Kafka, and Spark.
- Strong architectural knowledge of data mesh, data lakehouse, and real-time customer-facing operational and analytics platforms.
- Experience using AWS and GCP alongside containerization and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Experience implementing development tooling and automation for modeling, observability, resilience, and governance patterns.
- Ability to create reusable platform services supporting data consumers and AI and ML initiatives.
- Ability to communicate complex technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
