Base Salary
$105k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and support scalable, reliable, and maintainable automated VOD workflow systems.
- Translate product requirements and models into technical designs, specifications, and testable implementation plans.
- Design and evolve software interfaces, APIs, data contracts, and agentic workflows.
- Manage and maintain cloud-based content delivery and services primarily on AWS.
- Configure and support video, audio, and subtitle encoding and media-processing workflows.
- Troubleshoot VOD workflow and playback issues and resolve defects with vendors and Media Engineering.
- Research streaming-media technologies and collaborate with Operations, Player, and Client teams on delivery improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of software development experience with streaming media, VOD, media-processing workflows, or comparable ETL/workflow systems.
- Proficiency in Go and preferred experience with Python.
- Experience with web technologies, digital video workflows and operations, and video technology development.
- Applied experience designing and building cloud-based systems, particularly on AWS.
- Strong software design skills covering system decomposition, APIs, data contracts, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience translating requirements and technical designs into testable implementation plans.
- Hands-on experience designing and building AI agents and agentic workflows, including tool integration, orchestration, guardrails, observability, and human-in-the-loop controls, is highly preferred.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum principles, along with strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
