Responsibilities
- Implement and improve Secure Software Development Lifecycle and DevSecOps practices across engineering teams.
- Embed security controls and automated security testing into software delivery pipelines.
- Support AWS and Kubernetes security posture management, monitoring, controls, and remediation.
- Assess cloud security risks and provide practical remediation guidance.
- Analyze vulnerability findings, determine business risk, prioritize remediation, and support reporting workflows.
- Provide application security guidance, secure coding recommendations, and security design support.
- Manage and enhance security tooling integrated into development and operational environments.
- Evaluate security platforms, support proof-of-concepts and integrations, and drive security automation.
- Partner with engineering teams to enable secure-by-design development and developer security awareness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in DevSecOps, Security Engineering, Application Security, or Cloud Security.
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience securing cloud-native environments, preferably AWS.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container security.
- Experience implementing security controls within software delivery pipelines.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management and remediation workflows.
- Knowledge of application security concepts and the OWASP Top 10.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams in an advisory, enablement, or security engineering capacity.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, independent execution, and initiative-driving skills.
- Preferred experience with CSPM platforms, KSPM solutions, AWS and GCP security practices, GitLab Ultimate, Infrastructure as Code, security automation, large-scale enterprise environments, and AI-enabled development environments.
- Relevant security certifications are preferred.
